Bank Presents Volunteer of the Year Award

ACNB Bank recently presented the inaugural 2017 Volunteer of the Year Award to employees Barbara D. Guise, Assistant Vice President/Residential Mortgage Loan Originator, and Nancy M. Shelleman, North Gettysburg Office Teller, in recognition of their community involvement. The primary community organizations supported by these staff members received a $1,000 contribution from ACNB Bank to acknowledge this exemplary volunteer service.

Barbara Guise, a 40-year veteran of ACNB Bank, received the 2017 Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of her dedicated volunteer service as a “blanketeer” with the Gettysburg/Adams County Chapter of Project Linus. In 2016 alone, she crocheted 46 blankets for Project Linus as gifts for seriously ill and traumatized children.

Nancy Shelleman has worked at ACNB Bank for 35 years. She received the 2017 Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of her more than 330 hours of dedicated service in 2016 to the Cashtown Community Fire Department and Cashtown Community Fire Department Auxiliary. Mrs. Shelleman served as a volunteer with the fire department from 1975 until 1994, when she was voted in as an official member. She has been serving as a volunteer with the Cashtown Community Fire Department Auxiliary since 1976. Read the full press release.
