Stop Payment Requests

Important: This stop payment feature cannot be used to stop payment on a Check Card item, an ACNB Bank electronic bill payment or automatic draft/ACH (Automated Clearing House) item on your account. To place a stop payment request on these items, please visit a community banking office or call our Contact Center at 1.888.334.2262. 

Stop payment requests are subject to ACNB Bank’s Service Fee Schedule. If ACNB Bank is not given reasonable time to act on this stop payment request before the Bank has accepted the item, or before the Bank has paid the item in cash, or before the item has been deposited or received for deposit for credit in an account of a customer with the payor bank, or before the Bank is otherwise legally obligated for its payment, then the bank may be entitled to enforce payment of this item against the drawer. ACNB Bank assumes no responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of the information you provide, nor for paying a check based on incorrect and/or incomplete information. A stop payment order for a check will remain in effect for 6 months unless renewed or withdrawn by the customer, in writing, or the check is returned. Stop payment orders entered online after 4:00 pm will not be processed until 8:30 am at the next business day. Business days are Monday through Friday, unless the next business day is a bank holiday or the Bank is closed due to inclement weather.
