As news regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the United States continues to evolve, I would like to share with you the steps that we are taking at the Bank in response to this public health threat. First and foremost, our highest priority is the safety and well-being of our customers, staff members, and the communities in which we live and work.

Our Executive Management team and others in the organization are monitoring the situation closely and following recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and local authorities. It is our intent to continue to do so until any potential impacts to our nation, community and organization subside.

The Bank has a Business Continuity Plan to ensure continuity of operations and banking services in the event of a disaster or other emergency situation and to recover as quickly and efficiently as possible. A component of this plan is pandemic planning, as dealing with infectious diseases of unknown scale and duration can present some unique and complex challenges.

At this time, our community banking offices are open with drive-up service only. Our cleaning and sanitization efforts in the offices have been expanded to include frequently disinfecting often-touched surfaces such as door handles, countertops, desks, phones, keyboards, and writing instruments. We’re asking all of our staff members, as well as encourage everyone, to follow the CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus.

As a reminder, the Bank provides customers with numerous tools and resources for self-service banking and 24/7 account access through our online, mobile and telephone banking services. Using these channels, you can check account balances, transfer funds, deposit checks, and/or find the nearest ATM. If you are not enrolled in Online Banking or Mobile Banking and you need assistance with the process, please visit a community banking office, or contact the Bank’s Customer Contact Center at 1-888-334-2262. For Telephone Banking services, simply call 1-888-338-2262. 

For business customers, if you do not already use Remote Deposit Capture or Business Online Banking, we encourage you to reach out to your relationship officer or local community banking office to learn more about these options.

Unfortunately, a crisis can also fuel a scammer’s ambitions to deliver malware to your computer, collect personal and account information, seek donations, or sell fraudulent products---in this case, claiming these products can treat or prevent the Coronavirus. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) provides information to consumers to help avoid Coronavirus scams.
