Did you know May is National Beef Month? The U.S. is the largest producer of beef in the world with over 700,000 cattle operations across the nation. It is the largest agricultural industry in the U.S. with the highest cash receipts. There are over 91 million head of cattle in the U.S. Pennsylvania ranks 22nd in beef production with Texas holding the #1 ranking.*
The ACNB Bank Agribusiness lenders are very much involved in the beef industry with Andrea Foore just being named as the President of the Pennsylvania Livestock Association this year. This is quite an honor and a lot of work and responsibility.
Agribusiness lender, Andrea Foore has shown her Black Angus cattle all over the country and has won many awards. Additionally, Agribusiness lender, Gabe Zepp and his family operate their own Red Angus beef farm named Country Acres Farm. The Zepp’s Red Angus herd is well known for their excellent genetics and they ‘ve sold their cattle throughout 14 states.

We are also honored to work with many wonderful beef producing farm families in the ACNB Bank footprint, like Zoey Workman. Zoey is one of the owners of Z&Z Acres and a great cheerleader for ACNB Bank. Zoey was asked to be in the advertisement and marketing of the PA Beef Council.
