A Heartwarming Employee Challenge Celebrating 167 Years with 167 Cake Kits

In celebration of ACNB Bank’s 167th anniversary, Team ACNB embarked on a heartwarming initiative to give back to our community. Recognizing that not everyone has the means to celebrate birthdays, we committed to building and donating 167 cake kits to local food pantries, senior communities, and agencies. These cake kits are designed to bring joy to children and adults on their milestone days, offering them a chance to celebrate with a delicious cake.

The Need for Cake Kits

Luxury items like cake and frosting are rarely donated, yet they are often requested. The cake kits include everything needed to bake a cake, except for perishable items, ensuring a long shelf life and easy distribution. Each kit included a cake mix, frosting, a can of soda all packaged in disposable foil bakeware, making it convenient for recipients. Cake kits were enhanced with extras like candles, sprinkles, a birthday card, or balloons to add more fun to the celebrations.

The Impact

Through this project, we successfully donated 167 cake kits, bringing joy and celebration to many in our communities. This initiative not only marked ACNB Bank’s 167th anniversary but also highlighted our commitment to being a great community bank.

Thank you to all employees who contributed their time and resources to make this project a success. Team ACNB’s generosity and community spirit really takes the cake! And we’re not kitting about that.
