Employee Spotlight: Get to know Alisa Stesch Alisa Stesch, Treasury Management Officer

July 22, 2024

What is your ACNB story?

I have been with ACNB for nearly 6 years now and what a fantastic journey I have had! I started in November 2018 as a Specialist in our College Square office in Westminster, MD. In October 2020, I was promoted to a branch manager at our Aspen Ridge office in Frederick, MD, then in January 2022, I was promoted to branch manager II and managed both our Aspen Ridge and Walkersville offices. In March 2024, I was promoted to Treasury Management Officer of the Carroll County region to work with local businesses and serve their banking needs. I am very much enjoying my career here – and all the fantastic customers I’ve met along the way that are more like friends to me now!

What do you love about working here?

I love that the bank has many opportunities for growth and advancement, and recognizes employees that work hard and do a good job. I also love that all of our employees, both in the branches, partners, and in our headquarters in Gettysburg Ops are like one big family – especially since I work out of various offices in the Carroll County region to build relationships with my colleagues and our customers.

What activities do you enjoy doing outside the office?

Spending time doing anything with my daughter Rachel, my fiancé Dean and his sons David and Mark! I also have an at-home baking business, Grandma’s Oven, and while I do not do as much baking professionally as I once did, I still greatly enjoy making cakes, pies, cookies and cupcakes for friends and family. Gardening around my home is my therapy and happy place! Dean and I have been in a local mini-golf league since it began 5 years ago at Island Green in Westminster – we are mediocre to decent depending on the day! We are just now trying pickleball as we’ve heard so much about it – we are not good, but at least we have fun! In my youth I was a ping pong champ, and while I’m not quite the same level now, I’m still pretty hard to beat! Lastly, I love animals, both domestic and in nature. They capture my heart! For years, my daughter and I rescued and fostered them until it was apparent we were foster failures, wanting to keep every animal we saved, so now we take good care of our current brood, and support local shelters with donations.

Why should people bank at a community bank?

Banking is so much more personal in a community bank, not just helping with current needs, but building solid relationships to get to know what future needs will be and helping to reach those goals and needs using all the bank’s resources and business partners. Our bank hires local people, and supports locals too. Our employees are out in the community and know many of our customers very well – something that is just as important to us as it is for our customers.

What are some of your favorite local activities or restaurants?

I often dine at Liberatore’s in Westminster as the food and drinks are fantastic, and we always feel so welcome when we walk in the door. Liquid Library is a new favorite of mine! Island Green is always a fun time, whether dining, playing mini golf, or listening to live music. I enjoy any “Stroll Event” on Main Street in downtown Westminster. It is always a fun day out with friends supporting local businesses.
