ACNB Bank recently donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to four healthcare facilities in the Bank’s market area in response to the unprecedented need during the global coronavirus pandemic.
“Doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals are on the front lines battling to keep our community safe and to provide the best care possible to everyone. We had a supply of materials on the most needed list housed in the ACNB Corporation Operations Center in Gettysburg, PA, and we wanted to support the community-wide effort by donating this equipment during this critical time,” said Gerald L. Waytashek, ACNB Bank Assistant Vice President/Facilities Manager.
A total of 180 N95 respirator masks and 44 face masks were delivered by members of the ACNB Bank facilities team to the following hospitals and medical offices in Pennsylvania and Maryland:
- Wellspan Gettysburg Hospital: Gettysburg, PA
- Wellspan Health & Surgery: Hanover, PA
- Carroll Hospital: Westminster, MD
- Frederick Health Hospital: Frederick, MD
ACNB’s supply of PPE came from an early 2020 reevaluation of our pandemic preparedness plan. As an essential service provider, we wanted to take every necessary precaution to protect our employees, customers, and communities. We’re grateful for our team’s planning and that, as a result, we can donate these critical supplies to healthcare providers in those communities which we call home.
