ACNB Helping Hands
We've been a part of this community for more than 160 years and we know we are all stronger when we are committed to each other and lend a helping hand. That's why ACNB Bank is proud to launch a special initiative - ACNB Helping Hands. This project was created in response to the COVID-19 crisis, to help our community at this challenging time.
"Staff members and board members affiliated with ACNB Bank have personally contributed more than $13,000 to this effort. Combined with ACNB Bank’s commitment of $40,000 in funding, along with the restaurant and catering partners preparing the meals, we are all coming together under difficult and demanding circumstances for each other and for the benefit of those in need within our local communities.”
- James P. Helt, ACNB Bank President & Chief Executive Officer
Helping Local Restaurants and People In Need
Together we provided more than 3,000 meals in southcentral Pennsylvania
Locally owned restaurants make our communities unique and bring joy to many of us. But the COVID-19 pandemic hit the restaurant community hard. That’s why ACNB made a core contribution to help local restaurant customers and those in need. We partnered with nine ACNB Bank food service customers to supply meals to 8 community organizations. Our Maryland divisions provided an additional 2,500 meals for a grand total of nearly 6,000 meals.

Other Helping Hands Projects
Cards of Hope is Joy Delivered
This is a hard time to be away from family. When our team heard some local seniors were in need of a little cheer, they decided to make and send cards to long-term care facilities. Together we made more than 200 cards and delivered to local facilities and through meal distribution programs.
Personal Protective Equipment Donated to Local Healthcare Facilities
ACNB Bank recently donated personal protective equipment (PPE) to four healthcare facilities in the Bank’s market area in response to the unprecedented need during the global coronavirus pandemic.
“I could not be more proud of my colleagues and these local restaurants and caterers for their commitment and passion for this effort. Working together, we are serving our neighbors and supporting our communities during this critical time.”
