Community Banking Continued
A Community Promise 165 Years in the Making
Through the years, we have been there for our customers and shared communities by providing local support and financial solutions to achieve their goals.
We believe that a thriving community is the best thing for our residents and businesses. That’s why ACNB Bank focuses on giving back and lending a hand whenever we can. Whether it’s volunteering, supporting local events, or helping our neighbors, ACNB Bank has built a reputation as a strong community partner.
How ACNB Bank gives back...

Volunteering in PA!
Team ACNB enjoys serving as active volunteers for Bank-sponsored initiatives including the Heart Walk, Relay for Life, Scoop-a-Palooza, Bowl for Kids’ Sake, Habitat for Humanity, Bag the Bounty, and other activities that benefit many in our local communities. Independently, staff members contribute thousands of volunteer hours annually with organizations like the area Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, chambers of commerce, food banks and pantries, school athletic teams, scouting organizations, and more. Many of our staff members serve in leadership roles with local community boards and committees, giving back to support our communities on their own time in a meaningful way.

Lending a Hand in Times of Need
ACNB Bank launched a special initiative in April of 2020---ACNB Helping Hands---that serves to reinforce the Bank’s ongoing commitment to community during the challenging times when the COVID-19 pandemic dramatically impacted local businesses and residents. This program, funded by both ACNB Bank and its affiliated employees, provided nearly 6,000 meals prepared by 16 restaurant and catering businesses that are customers which were then distributed to people in need through 16 local community organizations across the Bank’s southcentral Pennsylvania and northern Maryland footprint.

Free Community Shred Days
To help people protect their identities and destroy sensitive information, ACNB Bank hosts a free shred day each year. Customers and local residents are invited to bring up to 5 boxes of paper to shred. We recommend you shred: credit and charge card bills, summaries and receipts, ATM and bank statements, employment pay stubs, old tax documents, and items containing personal or medical information.

Support for Those Who Need It Most
ACNB Bank takes its role as a community bank very seriously and is committed to supporting the basic needs of neighbors in the markets served. We contribute to community organizations that provide affordable housing or community services for low- or moderate-income (LMI) individuals, promote economic or workforce development, and impact community revitalization. TEAM ACNB even participates in meaningful activities such as onsite home builds.

Community Collections
Our customers and community are incredibly generous. Throughout the year, ACNB Bank hosts community collection events at our community banking offices and through other activities. Annually, we collect school supplies and nonperishable food items for two annual drives organized by United Way of Adams County, gently used books, sheet music and other items for the Friends of Legal Services book sale, and lots of toys for families served by Holiday Family Outreach.

Casual for a Cause
Throughout the year, ACNB Bank staff members are given the opportunity to participate in Casual for a Cause. By making a minimum $5 donation, our team is eligible to wear jeans for the day. In the past, these activities have supported the American Heart Association, Big Brothers Big Sisters, American Cancer Society, USO, Junior Achievement, Bag the Bounty Food Drive, Holiday Family Outreach, and more. Since 2013, TEAM ACNB has raised more than $19,000 through Casual for a Cause.
