Newville Office Hosts Food Drive
In 2016, more than 80 pounds of nonperishable food items, cleaning supplies, and baby items were collected at the Bank’s Newville Office.
“We’re grateful to ACNB Bank for hosting a food drive again this year,” said Big Spring Area Food Bank Executive Director Shani Shenk. “The Newville community is always generous and helps us at a crucial time leading up to the busy holiday season.”
To kick off the food drive, ACNB Bank made a $300 contribution, which was acknowledged with a check presentation at the Bank’s Newville Office.
“The Big Spring Area Food Bank does so much good for those in need in the community,” said Doug Lindsay, ACNB Bank Retail Office Manager of the Newville Office. “We’re committed to serving as an ongoing partner to help the Food Bank address issues related to hunger in our shared community.”
The Big Spring Area Food Bank is based at the Big Spring United Lutheran Church at 100 Crossroads School Road in Newville. Food and other aid is distributed on the last Monday of each month.
