ACNB Bank Supports Barn Preservation Efforts in Adams County
Historic Gettysburg Adams County, Inc. (HGAC) promotes the preservation of approximately 2,000 historic barns in Adams County, as well as encourages interest in and understanding of their importance to the rural character and agricultural heritage of the local community. The organization has surveyed 278 barns to date with a goal of reaching 300 in the near future.
Owners are encouraged to consider preserving and registering their barns in the HGAC Historic Barn Registry. Only barns listed in the registry may apply for the annual HGAC Barn Preservation Grant that ACNB Bank helps to fund. For more information, visit http://hgaconline.org.
