RELAY FOR LIFE

This is the sixth year that the Bank has participated in Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society. The 24-hour event took place on May 15 and 16. Luckily the weather was better than previous years---only a few light showers occurred on Saturday morning. Friday night’s activities included the moving luminary ceremony. Saturday’s events included a pie-eating contest and balloon rally organized by one of the Relay for Life teams. The Bank had three teams with a total of 43 employees participating. The total raised was over $5,700! Thank you to everyone who purchased fundraising items, donated money or took the time to walk at this event.

SPRING FLING

Adams County Office for Aging sponsored their Annual Spring Fling on May 27 at Gettysburg College. This health and information fair is held in May each year in celebration of Older Americans Month. There were 77 exhibitors and approximately 400 people attended, which made this their biggest event ever. Bank staff manned the booth and talked to the attendees about the services and products that the Bank has to offer. In addition, people were encouraged to register to win a fresh cut flower arrangement.
