HANOVER CHILI COOK-OFF

For the second year in a row, the Bank participated in the Hanover Chili Cook-Off, held on Sunday, August 31. This event, in its 13th year, is also the site of the Pennsylvania State Championship Chili Cook-Off Competition. The proceeds benefit four local Hanover charities: Friends of Codorus State Park, Guthrie Memorial Library in Hanover, the Hanover Area Council of Churches, and the HART Center in New Oxford. With the theme of "How Funky is Your Chili", Bank staff members cooked up a delicious batch of chili and served it to a multitude of people who attended the event. The Bank won fifth place in the Open Chili Contest. During the cook-off, each booth collected donations from attendees, as an additional way to raise money for the non-profit organizations benefiting from the event. The Bank's booth collected the most, earning first place in this contest! Much fun was had by all who participated.
