This involves fraudulent phone calls or text messages claiming that your debit card has been deactivated and directs you to a phone number for reactivation. The number prompts you to enter your full card number and pin in order to reactivate your card.

It is important that you ignore these types of calls or text messages from any phone number. Financial institutions will never request this information from you. This is a scam designed to trick you into entering information from your debit card so that access can be made to the checking account associated with the card.
