FOOD DRIVE FOR NEW HOPE MINISTRIES
AT ACNB BANK

GETTYSBURG, PA, October 23---A food drive for New Hope Ministries has begun at ACNB Bank in Dillsburg. "There are people in our community who go hungry every night," said Brian C. Taylor, Retail Office Manager of ACNB Bank's Dillsburg and York Springs Offices. "Now with the holiday season coming up, needy families can use assistance more than ever. We want to do our part to help those in need."

A collection box has been put in the lobby of the Bank's Dillsburg Office located at 3 Tristan Drive, next to Bruster's Ice Cream along Route 15. Anyone is welcome to stop by the office with non-perishable food and put it in the collection box. Before donating food, it's good to check expiration dates to make sure the food has not expired---even non-perishable food has expiration dates. Items in particular that are needed by New Hope Ministries include Chicken or Hamburger Helper® meals, peanut butter, jelly, canned vegetables, canned fruits, instant potatoes, fruit juice, cooking oil, spaghetti sauce, sugar, flour, ketchup, mustard, coffee, canned tuna, dish detergent, cleaning supplies, paper towels, shampoo, and conditioner.

"We really appreciate ACNB Bank having this food drive," said Molly Helmstetter, Director of Development for New Hope Ministries. "We'll be able to replenish some of our supplies and take care of needy families during the holiday season. A lot of people continue to struggle in this economy. One jar of peanut butter or can of tuna can make a difference in the lives of those struggling to feed their families. We appreciate whatever people can afford to give. Every item helps."

The food drive continues through Friday, November 22. Mark your calendar to stop by ACNB Bank in Dillsburg and donate food to New Hope Ministries.
