 ANNOUNCES A STAFF APPOINTMENT

GETTYSBURG, PA, April 13---A staff member of Adams County National Bank was appointed to a new position with the Bank as well as with ACNB Corporation, the financial holding company of Adams County National Bank. David W. Cathell is the Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer of ACNB Corporation, and served in the capacity of Senior Vice President. As of September 2008, he is in the role of Executive Vice President, Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer for the Corporation. His position with the Bank is Executive Vice President, Cashier & Chief Financial Officer.

As Executive Vice President, Treasurer & Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Cathell is involved with the board of directors of both Adams County National Bank and ACNB Corporation. He is responsible for the tabulation and preparation of the Corporation's monthly, quarterly and annual financials. In addition, he oversees the finance area. He has worked in a managerial/officer position in the finance area of banking for over 25 years. Mr. Cathell earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting and political science from Frostburg State University in Maryland. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA), as well as the Philadelphia Chapter of the Financial Managers Society. In addition, Mr. Cathell is a member of the Garret County Historical Society in Maryland, as well as the Western Maryland Railway Historical Society. Mr. Cathell and his wife, Jill, reside in Mechanicsburg. They have two children---Matthew and Katie.
