 ESTABLISHES LOAN OFFICE
IN CHAMBERSBURG

GETTYSBURG, Pa., September 14---Stephen C. Hawbaker and Tracy A. Thomas have joined Adams County National Bank to serve customers in the greater Chambersburg and Franklin County area. Both individuals work out of the Bank's new loan office in Chambersburg, located at 1126 Kennebec Drive.

Mr. Hawbaker joined Adams County National Bank as Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer. He works with commercial customers by providing commercial loan, deposit and other banking services to aid in the growth of the customer's business.

Mr. Hawbaker has over 30 years of banking experience, with more than 25 years devoted to commercial banking services. Prior to joining Adams County National Bank, he was a commercial loan officer for The First National Bank of Mercersburg, as well as previously served as vice president and senior commercial relationship manager at M & T Bank.

Mr. Hawbaker is a graduate of Mercersburg Academy and earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Pennsylvania State University, majoring in insurance and real estate. He has expanded his banking and lending knowledge via various courses through the Pennsylvania Bankers Association - Professional Development Network, as well as Robert Morris Associates.

In the local community, Mr. Hawbaker is involved with several organizations. He serves on the loan review committee and was previously a director of the Franklin County Area Development Corp. Mr. Hawbaker is currently a director of the John H. Shook Home, and has been a volunteer for the annual campaign for the United Way of Franklin County. Further, he is past president of the Chambersburg Lions Club and currently serves the organization as a director.

A native of Franklin County, Mr. Hawbaker resides in Scotland. He has two grown children---Emily and Benjamin.

Tracy A. Thomas has joined Adams County National Bank as Retail Loan Officer. She provides financing solutions for consumers who are looking to buy or build a home, as well as to finance home improvements. In conjunction with her position at the Bank, Mrs. Thomas completed the Espleez Mortgage Training Academy in May 2007 and earned the designation of Certified Mortgage Planner. As a Certified Mortgage Planner, she works with customers to best serve their mortgage needs at the present time, as well as in the future. Additionally, Mrs. Thomas has completed FHA training, which further enhances her mortgage lending background. Although she works out of the Bank's Chambersburg Loan Office, she meets with customers wherever it is convenient for them.

Prior to joining Adams County National Bank, Mrs. Thomas was an administrative assistant for the First United Methodist Church of Mercersburg. She's a graduate of James Buchanan High School in Mercersburg, and earned an associate degree from Hagerstown Business College.

As a member of the local community, Mrs. Thomas serves as a disaster action team captain chairperson for the Franklin County Chapter of the American Red Cross and is co-chair of the disaster committee. In addition, she's a member of the Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, Mercersburg Chamber of Commerce, and the First United Methodist Church of Mercersburg.

A lifelong resident of Mercersburg, Mrs. Thomas resides with her husband, Richard. They have two children---Tyler and Danielle.
