NEW COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICER
 JOINS ADAMS COUNTY NATIONAL BANK

GETTYSBURG, PA, March 5---Shanon R. Toal, Jr., has joined Adams County National Bank as Vice President & Commercial Loan Officer. In this position, he works with commercial customers by providing commercial loan, deposit and other banking services to assist in the growth of the customer's business. Mr. Toal works out of the Bank's McSherrystown Office, located at 369 Main Street, to serve businesses in the areas of Hanover and Adams County.

Mr. Toal has over 20 years of banking experience, nearly all in the lending arena. Prior to joining Adams County National Bank, he served in various lending positions for a local financial institution, most recently serving the organization as senior vice president and market area executive for the regions of Hanover and Adams County. Mr. Toal earned a bachelor of science degree in finance from Pennsylvania State University. He has furthered his lending background by attending the Pennsylvania Bankers Association (PBA) School of Commercial Lending and graduating with honors. In addition, Mr. Toal has completed various courses through the American Institute of Banking (AIB) and Robert Morris Associates.
 
Mr. Toal is an active member of the local community. He is treasurer of Adams County Economic Development Corporation (ACEDC), as well as a recipient of the 2003 J. Frank Sapp Award, earned for serving as an outstanding board member for ACEDC. He is a board member of the Hanover Chapter of the American Red Cross, as well as a member of the Gettysburg Foundation Audit and Program Committees. Additionally, he is a member of the following: Downtown Hanover Improvement Program Committee, Harrisburg Area Community College GeoSpatial Advisory Committee, Gettysburg Adams Chamber of Commerce Business and Industry Committee, and Executive Committee of Gettysburg Neighborhood Revitalization Program. A lifelong member of the Hanover community, Mr. Toal resides with his wife, Maureen.
